Photos from top left to bottom right: me in my favorite art installation of all time by Yayoi Kusama in my favorite museum of all time, The Louisiana in, you guessed it, Humlebæk, Denmark. // One of my favorite photos of all time, Ingmar Bergman speaking with Bengt Ekerot on the set of the film "The Seventh Seal" // That's me in the Serengeti! I saw lots of lions there. // The world famous John Stockton and Karl Malone pick and roll (John Starks doesn't stand a chance). // Me lounging on some dead grass in Vienna, Austria (I like to travel if that wasn't already apparent) // A mural of my favorite author, Kurt Vonnegut "And so it goes".
HELLO!

I’m Jordan Larsen, an expert in 1990s NBA history and often irrelevant sports facts. Born and raised on the mean streets of Salt Lake City, UT, my childhood and upbringing was rather unspectacular, so I entertained myself by creating Jared Hess-inspired short films. While my love for Nacho Libre runs as deep as ever, my creative process has become a compound of my life experiences in the past years.

In another life, and maybe still to come, I would have been an improv comedian. Creativity and forward thinking in design for me isn’t tedious and painful, but something that I try to make exciting and new, not just for me, but for anyone who comes across my work. If I get into a rut, first I sigh heavily and stare at the wall, but then I ask WWWAD: what would Wes Anderson do? The answer is always call Bill Murray, but since I don’t have access to him (yet), I face things head on, take a different angle (sometimes acute, but mostly obtuse), and invoke my inspiration from the environment surrounding me.

I love design not only because it gives me a creative outlet, but because it allows me to challenge my own perceptions of the world. Taking an abstract concept and going through the process of materializing those ideas is an ever changing challenge that I come to appreciate more every day. In a world where media can cheapen human experiences, I feel excited to be a part of a socially-conscious generation using design and communications as an outlet not just to sell products, but to emphasize the real, funny, emotional, relatable experiences of everyday human life.
